Souké, Siriki, Fati and Souley of “Les Bobodiouf” Beyond the comic scene

With their looks, bizarre dress styles, words and gestures in the television comic series “Les Bobodiouf”, the Burkinabé comedians provoked uncontrollable laughter in millions of fans spread worldwide. That has been the case for close to twenty years. Souké, Siriki, Fati and Souley of “Les Bobodiouf”, at one point, deprived keen followers of their much needed comic inoculation when they fell out with their French producer.

But that’s history. Both parties buried the hatchet, and the darling actors are back on the screens of TV5Monde Afrique via “Les Bobodiouf”. During their recent trip to Cameroon for the premier of “A malin, malin et demi,” a comic movie produced by Cameroon-born Edoudoua Non Glacé, the African celebs paraded “Nyanga” Magazine reporters round the corridors of their lives off the set. For nearly two decades, Souké, Siriki, Fati and Souley, main protagonists of “Les Bobodiouf”, a television comic Series broadcast on TV5Monde Afrique, choked fans, in Africa and beyond, with laughter. Through their looks, dress styles, words, gestures and varying roles played, the African comics invited broad smiles on the faces of millions of viewers.

Thus, they gained notoriety, crisscrossed the world for paid performances and projects. Above all, they received prestigious distinctions. In the recent past, keen followers of “Les Bobodiouf” discovered with dismay that their darling actors- Souké, Siriki, Fati and Souley had disappeared from the screens of the French channel, TV5Monde Afrique. Fans grumbled for being severed from their comic therapy. “The sudden pause was linked to a misunderstanding with the producer of the TV Series.

During their close to one week stay in Douala and Yaounde, the Burkinabé stars communioned with diehard fans, who did not hesitate to do selfies.

These reporters trailed the visiting heroes and heroine. In an exclusive interview granted “Nyanga” Magazine, Soukè, Siriki, Fati, and Souley, with plenty of humour, separately talked about the untold true story of their private lives.
